The celebrities have new jobs.

As the Hollywood writers' strike enters its sixth month, actors like Ben Affleck are finding new ways to share their talents. And by talents, we mean rapping. 

Jennifer Lopez's husband is trying to steal his wife's crown as the musician in their power couple. In a promo for Dunkin' Donuts, Affleck attempts to teach Ice Spice a thing or two about rapping. 

"I spit bars, but you were called Vanilla Ice Spice, ba-bep-bep-bep, here I am with Dunkin’,” he raps in the new advertisement for the donut brand's range of 'pumpkin munchkin' iced coffee.

Yes, Ben has a distinctive Boston accent in the clip. No, Ben was not born in Boston.

He did grow up in Boston though, alongside his school friend and Good Will Hunting co-writer Matt Damon. 

And he's reliving his youth in this clip where he drops some beats with Ice Spice for Dunkin Donuts. This brand partnership is no random deal either. Affleck became a recurring meme for carrying multiple Dunkin' orders at once in a series of paparazzi photos in 2020, encapsulating the chaotic mood of that dreaded year.

Ben's work as a donut rapper comes as many filmmakers, actors and writers remain steadfast in their refusal to work until the writers' strike demands are met by the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). 

The last movie Affleck directed and starred in was Air, the story of the resurgence of Nike thanks to the invention of the Air Jordans. 

Nicole Kidman is another celebrity who appears to be hustling right now in ventures away from acting. She was photographed at the US Open in a series of awkward poses which displayed the watch she was wearing. Kidman is an Omega ambassador, with fans assuming that showing off the watch at the event could have been part of her brand deal. 

Then there's Oscar-nominee Lady Gaga, who a month into the writers' strike started promoting migraine drugs for Pfizer’s Nurtec ODT medication. The pop singer has suffered from debilitating migraines since she was a 14-year-old but this doesn't mean the random career pivot confused fans any less. 

The singer/actor wrapped filming Joker: Folie à Deux ahead of the writers' strike in April. 

Whether it's donut deals or spruiking new meds, the celebrities are staying booked and busy.
