Ben Affleck is dressing like a divorced man.

It's a weird time to be Ben Affleck. 

Sorry to this man but he's clearly going through... something.

He was just named one of the 'rudest' celebrities, he's rumoured to have split from his wife, Jennifer Lopez, and on top of all that, he's decided to start dressing rather differently.

Let's talk through this. I'm going to need a while to digest it all.

Affleck has shaved and styled his hair into an, ahem... faux-hawk. As the eyes gaze downwards, he is wearing aviator sunglasses, and a rather slim-fitted leather jacket over a Red Hot Chili Peppers t-shirt.

He also wasn't wearing his wedding ring.

On the scene, the man was seen placing a helmet on his head and jumping aboard an electric motorcycle.  

Yep, I'm going to need a minute. Sure, this could be for a film role but let's pretend it's not for funsies.

But this isn't the first time the actor and director has embraced a dramatic post-split look. Back in 2015, after he and ex-wife Jennifer Garner announced their split, people noticed that Affleck suddenly had a back tattoo.

And it wasn't a subtle tramp stamp either. This was a big-as-s**t phoenix tattoo in full colour that covered his entire back. His ex even made a little joke about the breakup tattoo in a chat with Vanity Fair.

"You know what we would say in my hometown about that? 'Bless his heart,'" Garner told the publication. "A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario? I take umbrage. I refuse to be the ashes."

Fair play, Jenny.

I guess this means that Affleck's shaven hair could represent him shedding the other Jennifer in his life? Just a theory. I'm not particularly proficient in the mentality of straight men.

Affleck and Lopez first started dating in the early '00s, enjoying a public romance before getting engaged, then calling it quits in 2004. They reunited in 2021 and got married in 2022, but this year, the couple has been plagued by constant reports they're headed for divorce.

The married pair haven't been seen together publicly for most of the year and they've sold their Beverly Hills mansion. 

This, paired with Affleck's dramatic makeover, is the definition of when a man goes through a breakup and starts to 'experiment with a new look'.

For the love of God, please stay away from a tattoo shop this time, Ben.
