Beauty queens are supposed to be the epitome of grace, humility and elegance.

But in scenes straight out of ‘Miss Congeniality’, a Brazilian beauty pageant has ended in tears when the runner-up ripped the winner’s crown off her head before throwing it on the ground.

In keeping with pageant traditions, Sheislane Hayalla, 23, held hands and managed to applaud the winner when the judges announced Miss Amazon 2015 to be 20-year-old Carolina Toledo.

Donald Trump wasn’t the only one wearing fake hair to the beauty pageant.

Seconds later, Hayalla snapped, wrestled with the host crowing the 20-year-old managing to yank the tiara out of her hair before throwing it on the ground and storming off stage.

It was epic. Take a look.

Hayalla claimed her rival had bought her way to the title, insisting: “Money talks in Manaus and I wanted to show the Amazon people money doesn’t talk here.”

“She didn’t deserve the title.”

The bikini photo that’s got ‘invisible illness’ sufferers cheering.

The winner declined to comment on the incident and would only say: “This is an unbelievable feeling.

“I don’t have words to explain the way I feel.”

The event organisers quickly re-crowned the winner and all was right in the world again.
