Those cheating claims are taking their toll on Beau Ryan’s professional life.
Former NRL player Beau Ryan has been dropped as a Woolworths brand ambassador following allegations he cheated on his wife.
“Woolworths Connect has ended its partnership with Beau Ryan,” the supermarket giant confirmed in a statement to the Daily Mail Australia.
Claims that Ryan had an affair with former Hi-5 member Lauren Brant surfaced this week in an interview with Brant’s ex-fiance, personal trainer Warren Riley.
Riley told Woman’s Day in the exclusive interview that he learned of the affair, which allegedly look place while Brant and Ryan were working ona Sydney production of Aladdin and his Wondrous Lamp, by reading Brant’s text messages.
“She owned up to everything. She said she’d slept with him [Ryan] on two occasions in her hotel after rehearsals,” he said.
The allegedly infidelity began earlier this year when Brant, 26, and Ryan, 30, were taking pictures of themselves rehearsing to share on social media.
“She said after they’d taken the photos they were still kind of staying pretty close to each other and then they started making out,” Riley told Woman’s Day.

He described the alleged discovery as “kind of a punch in the stomach”.
Riley and Brant later split.
Brant and Ryan, who have each previously projected wholesome and family-friendly public images, have faced a harsh social media backlash after the interview’s publication.
Brant set her Instagram account to private after receiving a number of abusive messages following the cheating claims.

It was rumoured earlier this week that Ryan had stepped down from his role on The Footy Show — but Channel Nine denied those claims yesterday.
“Reports that Beau Ryan has been stood down are incorrect,” a Nine spokesperson said yesterday.
“Beau has decided to take some leave with his family after consultation with The Footy Show and Channel Nine.”
Ryan has a two-year-old daughter Remi with his wife of three years, Kara Orrell.
Neither Brant nor Ryan has commented publicly on the cheating allegations.

I think it's terrible what he has done to his wife and family and lets not forget what Lauren has done to her partner as well. I also think it's strange that he starts to get dropped from his contracts he has for cheating on his wife, when only a few months ago Shaun Kenny-Dowall was accused of being violent with his ex partner, yet his still being named in the line up to play for the Roosters??? Don't get me wrong, cheating is horrible which I in no way condone and should have its consequences but I think Australia really needs to look at how it reacts to certain things.
Hmm, both situations are quite different though.
In Beau Ryan's case, nothing illegal has occurred (of course cheating is terrible), but Woolworths have every right to drop him from their brand. A company will distance itself from any negative publicity, it's a no brainer.
With Kenny-Dowall, he has been accused of DV, but is innocent until proven guilty. His court date is coming up, but until then he has the right to play for the Roosters.
