After over a decade spent in school uniform, university is often the first opportunity to express your personality and style in the form of fashion on a regular basis.
With no fixed rules, the result is a walking runway of style with a sprinkle of “This is the only clean outfit I have left”.
We took the streets and campuses of Sydney for a special Back to Uni edition of Style Street.

You can always pick first year female students based on their wildly inappropriate outfits. My university was built into a hill side and featured a lot of steps and wonky paths, yet you'd see first years schlepping around in heels and mini skirts. It takes about half a semester for them to make the switch to shoes they can actually walk in.
