Cool your jets on The Bachelorette rumors: we smell a rat.

Okay, people. We know you’re excited for The Bachelorette. But we smell a rat.

It’s been widely rumoured that journalist Georgia Love (Oh, what a coincidental name) is tipped to be the next rose-ceremony-givererer-of-roses.

But hang on just a wee-little-second. Channel Ten tell us that we will all know for certain who the lucky woman who holds all the roses is tomorrow. But until then….

Does it seem slightly odd that Channel Ten would recruit someone from another TV network?

Listen to Rosie Waterland’s theory on the latest episode of The Binge:

You don’t see Dancing With The Stars poaching names from other networks, it’s always laden with other Channel Seven faces.  You don’t see Masterchef getting Pete and Manu on their show as guest chefs. You don’t see Sunrise getting Karl Stefanovic over for a yarn.

Presumably there’s a glut of gorgeous, smart, talented, funny women out there (we know there is, there’s a ton that work in this office, and just have a search for girls on Tinder and you can see for yourself) so why would a journo from Nine journey across chartered waters from Tasmania to take up a show with Ten?

Is it possible that this entire ruse is just a publicity stunt from the Channel Nine coffers?

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT Channel Nine Tasmania are right now sniggering into their hands because their network has never seen so much action?

Is it possible that Channel Ten are happy to play along with the decoy while they film the REAL STUFF with LANA. #KeepTheDreamAlive ?

Check out some photos of Georgia here.

It’s Rosie Waterland’s theory on The Binge podcast. Though, she’s been speculating it would be Lana for months now, so it might just be that she’s having trouble imagining anyone else in the role.

We’re happy to be proved wrong. It may that we’ve watched too much UnREAL. But we’re #justsayin. Before you start printing #ILoveLove t-shirts, let’s wait for the official announcement, shall we? Tomorrow ain’t so far away.

And in the meantime, listen to The Binge. It’s the weekly podcast where smart women talk TV.
