A boatful of fishermen off the coast of Sao Paolo, Brazil, have rescued a baby dolphin that was struggling to swim after a plastic shopping bag became attached to its tiny body.
Watch here as the men carefully scoop the calf out of the water with their net, remove the bag and set baby Flipper free to frolick unrestrained.
It’s a heart-wrenching reminder that carelessly disposing of rubbish can have a greater impact on the environment – and its inhabitants – than you might think.
The best part? The little dolphin seems to do a “happy dance” of sorts when returned to the water.
