I’ve heard about this cult product for a while, and it legitimately exceeded my expectations.

The texture of this moisturiser is a goddamn dream.

It sits so nicely on my skin, instantly absorbing so I’m not left with an oily or sticky feeling. Instead, my skin feels noticeably softer and firmer at the same time.

Waking up the next morning, my skin feels as soft as a velour tracksuit.

A lot of moisturisers say they’re for all skin types, but I find they favour drier skin, which means I become an oily mess as the day unfolds. But this product didn’t make me oily at all; my skin just felt super hydrated and nourished.

I also just want to shout out the packaging! It’s so luxe. 

The jar feels lovely in my hand, and I always appreciate a pump applicator (feels so fancy!) so I don’t have to dive into the product with my fingers for each application.

As someone who struggles with hyperpigmentation and rosacea, I’m always first to put my hand up when there’s a new product to try. 

Due to the colder months, I’m not only battling my rosacea and trying to fix my pigmentation but I’m also battling dry skin overnight — a big change to my usually oily complexion. After using the Aspect Phytostat 9 moisturiser twice daily for three weeks, I noticed the results within just a few days. 

In the mornings, my skin would be a bit flaky and very dry after battling out the cold from the night before but if I used the moisturiser in my evening skincare routine, my skin stayed so soft and hydrated 'til the AM.

I also noticed after the two week mark that my skin felt firmer as well as brighter, something I’ve always struggled with in winter. 

The best thing about it is that a little goes a long way. I would just use a pea-sized amount and that would cover my face as well as my neck and decolletage.

Okay, let’s get nerdy about the ingredients.

Having incorporated the Aspect Phytostat 9 moisturiser into my day and night skincare routine for three weeks straight, I could actually see the results of each of the ingredients in real-time.

Starting with the base of the formula, the ChroNOlin, which is a powerfully potent peptide, it took just a few days to notice how smooth my skin had become.

Any creases or fine lines I would normally conceal under makeup now looked as if they had been softened and smoothed out.

Within the first week, I found that the ultra-nourishing combination of sunflower seed, ylang-ylang and seabuckthorn oil left my skin deeply hydrated, and seriously soft and supple. Exactly what it needed during these colder, drier months.

Lastly, this skin-loving cocktail of ingredients topped it all off with vitamin E, our favourite antioxidant, to play its role in protecting the skin and boosting overall radiance.
