Everything we know so far about the 2024 ARIA Awards on Stan.

When it comes to celebrating and recognising the very best of Australian music, there's only one event that comes to mind: the annual ARIA Awards.

2024 marks the 38th year of Australian music's nights of nights and the event's organisers have revealed it's set to be the most exciting in history. Here's everything you need to know ahead of the ceremony.

What are the ARIA Awards?

ARIA stands for the Australian Recording Industry Association — a national body representing major and independent record producers, manufacturers and distributors around the country. Every year, they hold an awards night known as (you guessed it) the ARIA Music Awards, to celebrate and recognise excellence, innovation and achievement in the Australian music scene.

This year, we'll be watching the 38th annual ARIA awards, with the first ever iteration taking place back in 1987. Since its inception, the ARIA Awards have gained recognition around the world, and in 2010 the awards began acknowledging the incredible international talent gracing our shores with the ARIA Music Award for Best International Artist.

When are the 2024 ARIA Awards?

The 2024 ARIA Awards in partnership with YouTube will be held on Wednesday, November 20.

Where will the 2024 ARIA Awards be held?

The 2024 ARIA Awards will take place at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney. It's the third time the venue will play host to Australians music's big night — and the Hordern also happens to be celebrating its landmark 100th birthday this year, too. Cute!

The popular music venue has hosted many of the world's leading artists, including Billie Eilish, Macklemore, Coldplay, Tones & I, AC/DC, Crowded House, David Bowie, Troye Sivan, DMA's, Amy Shark, INXS, Fleetwood Mac, The Kid LAROI, Flume, Silverchair, Thelma Plum... to name but a few.

"The past year has seen a huge number of homegrown Aussie talent making their mark locally and globally and we're very excited to celebrate these achievements on 20 November at the Hordern Pavilion.

"We're also tremendously grateful to all our partners and everyone involved in helping us give Australian music a global platform."
