"I got crazy jealous." The "meltdown" Laura Byrne had at Matty J in public.

The odd fight is a part of every normal relationship. But the last thing you want is for it to happen in public – particularly when you are a celebrity like Matty J and Laura Byrne of The Bachelor.

Having just celebrated their one-year anniversary, the couple spoke to KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O and recounted a rather uncomfortable scuffle they recently had.

Because thank goodness relationship dramas are funnier in hindsight.

To set the scene: it all unfolded after a day of a few too many champagnes at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne in March.

“I had a bit of a meltdown at Matt at the Grand Prix,” Laura said.

“The champagne was free, can we just start with that? And then a fan wanted a picture with Matt and I got crazy jealous.

“I was like, ‘Why are you looking at her? What are you doing?’ Like proper white girl wasted.

“He was just like ‘Oh my god!’ It was bad.”

Confirming that it was really just a “little tussle,” Matty J laughed off the memory.

“We had the photo and Laura went to the bathroom and came back and was like, ‘Who the hell is that girl?'” said the 31-year-old.

“I was trying to explain it was just for a photo but it got pretty messy.”

Both clearly over it now, Matty J told the Daily Mail in May that he and Laura had moved in with each other in Sydney’s Bondi, so we’re just calling this a minor relationship hiccough.

As they say in love and life… what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.
