It seems that social media strikes again, this time in becoming the best way for couples to let their followers and family know they’ve just got married.
Forget the phone calls or even the personalised texts, just share a hilarious or sentimental (depending on how famous you are – tone it down if you’re in Hollywood. THINK OF THE CRITICS) picture hinting that you’ve tied the knot.
Kelly Clarkson released a beautiful picture of her and husband Brandon Blackstock exclusively on Instagram for all her fans to faun over:
The caption read: "I'm officially Mrs. Blackstock :) We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!"
Her fans were overjoyed she'd shared the news before it was broken by the official media, with the photo becoming one of the most liked on her account.
It seems as though newlyweds have taken a leaf out of Clarkson's book, posting decidedly hilarious versions of the "just married" insta.
One couple decided to dress their dog in a tux to announce the news (much to the excitement of their pooch...)
While others have Disney badges to celebrate the occasion. Posted to Instagram, of course.
