Which Celebrity Has Confessed: "I Lost Too Much Weight"

Anne Hathaway cut off all her hair for Les Miserables, but it's not a move that she's regretted. In fact, she's admitted that she plans to keep the look for the long haul.

In the December issue of Vogue, the newly married actress admits that she's developed a soft spot for her shorn locks. She wears her pixie cut proudly in the Annie Lebowitz-shot photos, and says it makes her life much easier.

"I love the short-haired lifestyle," Hathaway says. "It's awesome that I was able to go for a hike right before I came here to meet you, quickly wash my hair, and now it's dry."

The 30-year-old, who is celebrating her birthday today, adds, "I'm turning 30, and — I hope this isn't obnoxious to say — I feel prettier, and much more myself. I guess I just feel much more satisfied with less now."

Of course, this all comes after Hathaway lost a shocking 11 kilos to play the role of Fantine in Les Miz. She recalls that time period of shooting as being "definitely a little nuts" and says it "was definitely a break with reality" from what she's used to. "I had to be obsessive about it — the idea was to look near death," says the star, who admits to losing her final seven kilos by eating just two thin squares of dried oatmeal paste.

So how did she get through this crazy time? Her new husband, Adam Shulman. "I was in such a state of deprivation — physical and emotional. When I got home, I couldn't react to the chaos of the world without being overwhelmed. It took me weeks till I felt like myself again," Hathaway says. "This time, Adam was there. He gets what I do and who I am and supports me in it, and that's pretty awesome."
