After a weekend of shocking developments, distressing photos and fast-moving reports, TMZ has published a letter reportedly written by Johnny Depp’s ex Vanessa Paradis defending him in light of abuse claims by Amber Heard.
In the letter, the mother of his two children describes Johnny as “sensitive, loving and loved”. She continues, “I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations being made are outrageous.”
“In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years.”
The heartfelt note comes after Lori Anne Allison, who was married to Johnny for two years back in the 80s, also claimed her ex isn’t capable of hitting a woman.

Depp is entitled to a presumption of innocence. That's one of the great things about this country. She has the burden of overcoming that presumption, and she hasn't come even close to satisfying that burden. Moreover, the circumstances are pretty suspicious. For this woman to be telling the truth, we have to believe that the police are lying, the bodyguards are lying, and everyone close to the situation was duped. We also have to ignore the fact that this guy has never exhibited signs of being abusive, and disregard the obvious motive this woman has for fabricating abuse allegations in the first place. By the way, who files for divorce 3 days after her spouse's mother dies? All in all, I can't see how a judge could find under the preponderance standard (much less the clear and convincing or beyond a reasonable doubt standards) that Depp has abused or is likely to abuse this woman. She looks like nothing more than a gold digging, manipulative liar from where I stand.
Unfortunately cases with sexual assault/Rape and DV brings out the pitchforks and torches. Women like AH use this to their advantage to sidestep the law. Standard fare for divorce cases is for women to get a restraining order against the man and kick him out of his own house while awaiting half his stuff. Its all about winning and not necessarily the truth.
The duke lacrosse team would have been lynched by angry mobs before the truth came out; as would have mattress girl's accused rapist.
Doesn't make him a liar either, until they have their day in court. Women are not automatically the victim in every situation, despite what some will have you believe.
