Netflix’s Amanda Knox documentary was always likely to spark outrage. Few criminal cases have been as contentious.
But the subject of this isn’t Knox, it isn’t a suspect, it isn’t even a judge – it’s a journalist.
Former Daily Mail reporter Nick Pisa.
You may not know him by name, but if you’re familiar with the case, you will know Pisa for having coined the nickname: “Foxy Knoxy”.
Amanda Knox in the Netflix documentary.
With that alone in mind, it's hardly surprising that his comments in the documentary include, this:
"To see your name on the front page with a great story that everyone's talking about… it's just like this fantastic buzz," he said. "It's like having sex or something."
And this: "[A body is found] semi-naked, blood everywhere. What more do you want? All that's missing is the Pope!"
Oh, and this: "I think now, looking back, some of the information that came out was just crazy, really, and completely made up. But hey, what are we supposed to do, you know?"

I'm no fan of Knox but Pisa is truly a worthless scumbag. Whilst explaining why he couldn't reveal his sources for the story in which he published an underage girl's journal in the wake of an HIV diagnosis he said he had to protect his source to maintain his "journalist integrity". Hilarious! Zero integrity and not a journalist either. That said, the Italian detective in the doco with his perverted brand of misogynistic "police work" aka wild and wilfully sexist speculation is probably worse.
