Local news reporter perfectly refuses to dump a bucket of ice on his head.

Lincoln Humphries is a sports reporter at WIN News on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

He – like a lot of people in the past few weeks – was nominated to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

He – also like a lot of people – could see how that seriously wasn’t the best use of his potentially charitable time, and so he made this video.

Share it to show how you can make a difference in your local community.

Anyone who thinks it a good idea to dump a bucket of icy water on my head will die. I don't care what the reasons are. -_-

Don't know why people are getting so cranky with the guy. I too think it is a stupid idea. However it has given publicity to the disease. I do wonder though whether the Aussies doing the challenge are donating to the MND or the American ALS. Saw an article saying they have raised over $100m for the ALS foundation in america. This will go to research and to help care and support those with the disease. Research will be great but if we do not donate to the Australian MND do the funds raised by Aussies help and support the American victims only. Most videos I have seen the young ones seem to be having a laugh however no where is it mentioned they are doing it for charity, where to donate or who to donate to. A past high profile AFL player has been diagnosed with MND and he has recently raised awareness by speaking out. That is how I found out this and ALS were the same. So let the newsreader have his opinion, don't attack him because he hasn't said do not donate he has inferred we should all donate to A charity and not feel pressured to do a stunt.
