Welcome to Shocker, Hero and Whinger of the Week. Here’s how it works: Each week, we will pick the biggest Shocker, Hero and Whinger from the last seven days. Shocker is whatever moment or person left our jaws on the floor. Hero is whoever won the week by being awesome. Whinger? Well, that’s pretty much just someone who has had a major sooky-la-la moment. Let’s do this.
Shocker of the Week goes to…
Alicia Keys, for drawing out the ‘R’ sound long enough for Taylor Swift to think her album ‘Red’ was the big winner at the Grammy’s. It wasn’t. It was Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’. Bad Alicia! Bad! But it did give us this glorious video of Taylor thinking she had won which is practically impossible not to watch over and over. (Sorry Taylor.)
It has to be said: something about Taylor Swift’s heartbroken face is addictive to watch. Remember this moment? (Obviously you do and you can’t deny you’ve watched it at least one thousand times): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z8gCZ7zpsQ
Hero of the Week goes to…
Sam Worthington, for stacking it onstage at the AACTAs and recovering like a total pro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87LEpU5j5mA
Whinger of the Week goes to…
Tony Abbott, for waging war on the ABC for not saying nice things about him (and Australia) all the time. No government deserves the ‘benefit of the doubt’ from the press. They should constantly be held to the highest standards and most thorough investigation. You can’t call the ABC un-Australian for reporting on the facts that you don’t like. That’s just not how it works, Tone. Who are your picks for biggest Shocker, Hero and Whinger of the week?

I guess we cannot take his word for it, he should have said it was an allegation for it to be true.
You realise that TA's ABC comments are in the context of the false reporting of "torture" committed by our Navy. How about an apology from the ABC to our Royal Navy?
Reporting allegations is NOT false reporting. Blimey.
Reporting false allegations is not real reporting, if they are in the news business why didnt they investigate the allegations - if they had they would have found the allegations were false.
How do you know they're false - they haven't been investigated.
