Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the youngest woman in Congress. And Trump is terrified of her.

A month ago not many people, outside of New York, knew Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s name.

Then she made history.

The Bronx-raised politician, who’s affectionately known as AOC, became the youngest woman to ever be sworn into the US Congress.

She’s smart, strong, and fearless, and seems to possess something Trump can never manufacture – the ability to use social media to inspire, to challenge, and to change minds.

Although she’s only been in Congress for a few weeks, she’s already rustling conservative feathers.

She first made headlines when an attempt by the Republican Party to discredit her spectacularly backfired. The Republicans posted a 30 second clip of the now 29-year-old dancing on a rooftop when she was in high school.

She responded by posting a clip of herself dancing in Congress… now.

When 60 Minutes asked her whether President Donald Trump was racist, she simply replied: “Yeah. Yeah. No question.”

Then when the President dismissed her comment, with a brisk “Who cares”, she immediately responded on Twitter.

“I bartended for *years* in New York City,” she tweeted. “I understand guys like this like the back of my hand. We got under his skin.”

The politician, who has Puerto Rican roots, has publicly denounced the government shutdown. She’s called out Trump for his ongoing attacks on immigrants.

She joined the “Green New Deal” sit-in protest at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and publicly backed Muslim congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, who faced backlash after she called on the United States to “impeach the motherf**ker”.

And her Twitter looks like this:

AOC represents a new wave of politicians, who know how to use social media, and how to connect with the voters of the future.

And she’s Trump’s biggest threat right now.

Everyone should be scared of her, she's an idiot. One of her latest pearls of wisdom is saying that you don't need to be factually correct, as long as you're morally correct. Genius.

Doesn’t sound any worse than the hundreds of stupid things Trump has tweeted or said in the past couple of years. The dumbest of which has to be this:
"I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will have Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words." and yet the America government is in shutdown as we speak.

A bit like Abbott saying don't trust anything I say unless it is in writing.
