I’m constantly amazed at how fugly ‘plus size’ (yes, I hate the term too) fashion is.
I look at Plus Size Fashion Week images and they couldn’t be further from what I see on the New York/London/Paris/Milan catwalks each season. The same is in echoed online and in clothing stores locally.
It seems that once you leave the size 6-16 realm, prints become garish, fabrics become cheap and fashion forward pieces are virtually non-existent.
Mamamia writer, Rosie Waterland wrote about how frustrating the ugly plus-size fashion phenomenon is and with that in mind, I set out to find the best non-fugly fashion forward pieces on the internets. It was hard, it was depressing, I might have shouted THERE IS NOTHING, NOTHING! several times across the Mamamia editorial office while shaking my fist. But ultimately there are a few labels out there kicking goals.
Here’s what I dug up:

The best I've found from a lot of travels to the US is Eileen Fisher, and they now ship to Australia. Beautiful fabrics and designs for all size ranges.
