Harry Potter might have been the safer choice.
An 11-year-old boy in Manchester has been “excluded” from his high school’s World Book Day celebrations when he turned up to class as Christian Grey.
Yep. Complete with cable ties and an eye mask.

Personally I would say the teacher is just as bad, dressing as Dexter. Regardless of whether it's high school or primary school, it's about what is age appropriate.
If they're going to allow Dexter... well.
Also, I don't think shouting them off as bad parents is fair. When I was 12, I read 'The Beauty Trilogy' by Anne Rice. If you've heard of it, you know it's BDSM/Fantasy Erotica that puts 50 Shades to shame. I got it from the public library. Does that mean I have bad parents? No. And it didn't destroy me. I'm a fairly well adjusted person in that sense.
Give it a rest. Christian Grey is really no worse than what so many other students were going as. The only reason it goy banned was because of the hype.
