We’re in the home stretch, people…
After a long, slightly forgettable awards season so far this year, we’re bringing it back to Australia with the AACTAs.
Better known as the Aussie Oscars, or you may remember its former name – The AFI awards, the AACTAs are on now in Hollywood Sydney.
The AACTAs – Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards – recognise local excellence in film and TV. But really, like all awards shows, it’s a chance for us to gaze upon borrowed outfits and then talk about said outfits for the following 24 hours.
Click through the gallery below of all the frocks from the red carpet and remember to check back throughout the awards for updates.
Golden Globes 2015: Who cares about the awards? Here are all the frocks.
We’re rooting for everyone because the event is celebrating Australians, obviously.
But special mention goes to actress Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids, This Is Where I Leave You) who has been awarded the inaugural Trailblazer award for being very good at making movies.

So where's your article on who won these awards? Not everyone is interested in the red carpet. It doesn't matter as I got that information elsewhere but I just thought it needed to be pointed out.
I know this a bit sad, but I don't know who some of those Australian actors are. I guess they need more funding and support.
