Someone please tell me: is there a point to Victoria Silvstedt? Because I can't find it.

So there's this new reality show on E! called Victoria Silvstedt, My Perfect Life. I am strangely drawn to this show in the same way you are drawn to look at a smashed up car as you drive slowly past.
I keep watching because I keep waiting for something to happen BUT NOTHING EVER DOES.
From what I can ascertain, Victoria is a large Swedish 'celebrity' whose actual job is to turn the letters in Wheel of Fortune in some Nordic country.

How she managed to find time to do something other than turn letters is beyond me - but she now has her own show which make the GIrls Of The Playboy Mansion look like nuclear physicists.
So what does Victoria do in her Perfect Life? Tries on clothes to wear on red carpets. And then she goes on the red carpets and is photographed. That's it.

Ya know, E! will give air time to ANYONE!!! I've never even heard of this show. Maybe it's part of this whole PC, feelgood movement! Lets put dumb as dirt girls on TV so the "notquiteas" dumb as dirt people can watch it and feel good about themselves!! See, EVERYONE'S A WEINER... I MEAN, WINNER.

Yes Mia - I don't get it either! I hate the promo's for the show as well. The one with her sitting on her bed and eating chocolate cake with the sexy music playing and the one where she's getting dressed and falls over putting her shoes on backwards...GRRRR!!!
I am a sucker for the E channel (I love love love Joel McHale) and I've even been known to watch that show about the Playboy girls - and it seems like this show is in that same kind of category. Whenever I watch them I can't believe that there are women out there as stupid and vapid and superficial as these - and they're getting their own tv shows!

It reminds me of one of the shows that I was shocked to find on one of the 'sports' channels the other day while I was having a flick. The show is called 'Bikini Beach'. The show is about women in bikini's. That's it. Girls are running on the beach or bowling in bikinis or dancing in bikinis and that's the whole show. So I guess there is a market out there for...shit I don't know. I don't get it either.

Haha...I believe the market for women in bikini's running around pointlessly is any male who draws breath...and the point of it being on a sports channel is so that they can watch it and then claim the stumbled upon it accidentally while trying to watch football :)

well first of all the show and the girl seem highly ridiculous yet i am not all surprized that it has been made and people watch it.

second of all i am avid wathcer of girls of the playboy mansion. this is not a fact im proud of, one of my secret reality tv shames. each week i watch on with amazement at this program about the playboy mansion, sleaziest of all places and hugh hefners polygamy and am increasingly surprized at how tame it all seems. it could practically have a pg rating, nothing happens and its all depicted as very innocent. its bizzare and ironic. well thats my little irrelevant rant haha

My hubby and I watched it once, and we both thought she was boring as batsh-t. It is not on my line up at all, it's baaaad progamming. On the plus side, the swedish accents are hilarious they remind me of.... the swedish chef from the muppets.

HAHAHAHAHAAAA.... This woman was Miss Sweden I believe and she is on ITALIAN TV... every single night she does the Wheel of Fortune!!!!!!!! I have always found it perplexing that a woman who won Miss Sweden or Miss World or whatever would be content to spin that wheel ~ what a crap job right? All other women here in Italy on Television (even now respectable TV presenters) generally get the job after winning a beauty pagaent OR a ridiculous competition to gyrate semi nude on TV. Seriously. It is a different world here in terms of feminism and it's where Victoria has been conditioned to think all her bimbo crap is not only acceptable but adorable and admirable even! Hope that helps!!!!! And find it hilarious how you all think she's ridiculous.. LOL. My sentiments exactly but nobody here bats an eyelid. I had not heard her speak English before either... sometimes amongst her twirls she may say the odd work with a heavy accent to be cute... but well obviously she can speak it she's Swedish.
