Dear Media: sometimes I hate your guts.
....shame the British actress chose a rather unflattering white swimwear for her dip in the Pacific Ocean.....
This is the actual headline and intro that ran in a UK Newspaper accompanying this picture this week.
Well done UK Daily Mail. You've managed to capture every single thing that is wrong with the way women are depicted in the media. "Huge"????? "Pasty"????????? 'Unflattering????'
What a disgusting piece of misogynist crap. Not to mention bullshit. She is a pregnant woman of small-normal size going for a swim. Give her a break. I wonder what the pig who wrote those words looks like in a swimsuit?
(note to self: I really must learn to become more assertive about expressing my true feelings)

The british media is ultra repulsive. You have to wonder if they really beleive anything they print or they only care about selling papers/magazines.

Before I read the bit under the pic I thought it might have been you Mia :)
I think she looks great. She is very white but she's English! What's she gonna do - go to a tanning salon?

Beyond mean and completely unnecessary. She is obviously having a fun day out on a beach, and that’s all that should matter. By the way, pasty skin is attractive as any other skin colour. Sun tan/cancer- no thanks!

I think Minnie looks great!
I can't imagine how she would have felt when she saw the paper though...

The Daily Mail is just about fit to pick up doggy do. Interestingly they never seem to post responses which challenge their negative portrayal of women. But let's face it, New Idea and the other trashy mags here are just as bad.
I think she looks great. As for being pale, I would imagine that being pregnant in the summer is uncomfortable enough without adding to it by sunbathing.

Huge? Huge?! My god - my bump was about three times that and it wasn't twins, (but thank you check out chick for asking). The Daily Mail is a scary paper.

She looks wonderful. There's nothing better than a beautiful ripening belly!

When are these revolting tabloid papers going to be held accountable for their damaging stories. Most of the time they are full of lies, and they can really make a person miserable. Look how happy and carefree she is. These are the happiest times for Minnie Driver and those bastards shitted all over it.

Mia, this is a comment to this statement:

Please be more assertive :-)
I had a look at the UK paper, how interesting that the name of the moron who wrote the story is not mentioned...
