Kate Middleton has caused quite a buzz in the fashion world during her royal tour with Prince William. She attended a welcoming ceremony ahead of a state dinner in Singapore wearing a stunning printed dress by American-based designer Prabal Gurung (who was born in Singapore).
Paying tribute to the country you’re visiting by wearing local designs? Now that’s what we call diplomatic dressing.
A modified version of a catwalk look in Gurung’s Spring 2012 collection, the wool and silk-blend shift dress features an eye-catching floral design in vibrant purple hues. Oooh fancy. She even went above and beyond, getting Prince William (older brother of Prince Harry-of-Hotness, who you might have heard of…) to go all school formal circa 1991 with a matching maroon tie.
Kate and Wills have also been filmed doing some hula dancing on the island of Tuvalu, the last stop on their tour and also one of the smallest and most remote countries on earth.
