Men are the worst to buy presents for, there I said it.
There’s no other time of year this is more obvious than Father’s Day. Typical gift guides offer no help, especially if your dad doesn’t drink scotch, appreciate novelty socks or want a mini golf/pool set for his desk. And who has the kind of budget that stretches to a mountain bike for a manufactured gifting occasion?
If you’re well into adulthood you’ve probably reached a point where you’ve covered every single type of gift you can think of, and there are only so many times you can buy him a tie, or socks, or undies.
Even IF your dad insists that he doesn’t want anything this year, one sibling is going to crack and then you’ll be the only child who didn’t buy a gift this year. Read on for nine last minute (and inexpensive) gift ideas for all kinds of dads. If you have any other helpful suggestions add them in the comments below.
If he likes films…. a movie voucher from $19.50.
As you get older you appreciate experiences much more than material gifts, but dinners out or a night at the theatre can easily hit the $200 mark. A much cheaper option is a movie ticket voucher. Prices start from $19.50 or you can splurge on a Gold Class voucher.

If he’s an action man / into camping… beanie with a light $24.98.
Bunnings is to men what a walk in wardrobe is to women, absolute heaven. If your dad fancies himself an action man, is into camping or would find himself in a situation that would require an illuminated hat, then you’ve found your perfect gift.
