Receiving the box of AVEENO® goodies in the mail has come at a perfect time for me. You see I’m becoming a bit of a moisturising expert of late – being pregnant in winter will do that to you. I’m slathering my way through bottles of the stuff and feeling like Goldilocks along the way. The stray products are building up in my bathroom cabinet and I’ve ruled them as either too greasy, too thick or let’s just say, too ‘scented’. It’s really hard to find a nice lotion you want to cover yourself in from head-to-toe, twice a day. Goldilocks was talking about porridge when she found the perfect one for her, but I’ve found a moisturiser that is just right and also ironically contains oatmeal.
No, AVEENO® haven’t engineered a way to absorb porridge through the skin (although that would save a lot of time in the morning). The Daily Moisturising Lotion contains colloidal oatmeal, which helps soothe dry and irritated skin. It’s not too greasy, absorbs easily and is fragrance-free, which is perfect for my highly sensitive pregnancy nose.
Having worked as a make-up artist and now writing beauty for Mamamia means I’ve tried a lot of facial products (maybe too many as my skin is now pretty sensitive) and it’s fair to say I’m pretty skeptical when it comes to skincare claims. When I saw the AVEENO® Positively Radiant Daily Moisturiser, I’ll admit I audibly phhfff’ed. Promised radiance in a bottle? I’ve seen that one before. But having used it solely on my face for the last two weeks, I’ve had a quite a few people say to me they thought I was too young to be having a baby. I’m not, I’m 32 and I wasn’t wearing any make-up at the time. I haven’t felt particularly glowy during my pregnancy, so I’m putting it down to the sheen that’s in this moisturiser.
The AVEENO® scientists have discovered the naturally active benefits of soy to help even out skin tone and texture and which helps to reveals skin’s true radiance. It also contains an SPF15, but unlike other sunscreens doesn’t leave the telltale filmy white residue.
The Mamamia opinionators are also pretty rapt with the AVEENO® products, check out their reviews for the Daily Moisturiser here and Positively Radiant Daily Moisturiser SPF15 here.

I really like the Aveeno products I have tried.
I love the Aveeno baby shampoo for my youngest, it's realy nice and doesn't have an overpowering smell like a lot of the other baby bath products. Nicky, you should get onto it for your impending bundle of joy :-)
My skin was wintery and sensitive when I bought some Aveeno. The bit where it said 'evens out skin tone and texture' sold me on it. Two weeks later there was such a notable difference. I used to use a sunscreen and a moisturiser seperately but having them in the same product saves me money and time. I wish I'd been an opinionator so I could get some more for free!
