The thigh gap made its unwanted appearance around 2013, and just when we thought we’d heard everything there was to know about it, IT’S BACK.
This time however, we get a hilarious education into the thigh gap: otherwise known as one of evolution’s greatest mysteries.
Join these endearingly geeky scientists as they go one step further into uncovering the mystery of ‘dat gap.’
As one of the professors so aptly sums it up: “When we see something like the thigh gap in human evolution, we have to ask ourselves….why?”
So they may not be real scientists, but it’s still probably the one video about the thigh gap that actually makes the most sense.

umm, doesn't whether or not you have a thigh gap relate mostly to how wide your hips are? The wider the hips, the more likely you are to have a thigh gap. Some girls will struggle to have a thigh gap - no matter how skinny they are - because they've got such narrow hips their legs are just going to always be closer together. Or am I getting my physiology all wrong? I don't currently have one, but if I lose a few kilos I get one quite easily - because I've got massive child bearing hips - whereas some of my friends who are much skinnier just don't have hips wide enough to get one unless they're super skinny.
Having said all that, I can imagine if I was a weight conscious teen again, I would definitely have obsessed over this kind of thing :(
I personally think that people who concern themselves over who has a gap here or there must have a very large gap between their ears and not enough important matters to fill it with.
