It’s time for Best and Worst you guys, and those of you who are familiar will know what that means…
IT’S FRIDAY!
For those not in the know: Best and Worst is where the MM community comes together to talk about whatever they fancy. Tell us the best bit of your week, the worst, or whatever you just feel like chatting about. I’ll kick things off.
I actually came out pretty good this week, with two bests and no worsts:
1. Interviewing Ali from The Bachelor. She was sweet and funny and (luckily) a very good sport about my weekly Bachelor recaps. Here’s a pic (interview coming soon!):
2. HALLOWEEN!
We had soooo much fun dressing up in the Mamamia office yesterday. There were appearances from Hello Kitty (moi), Walter White (Justin from the E-Book team) and even a Selfie (Deputy Ed. Lucy). Take a look:
Check out the rest of the pics in our spooky gallery:
Over to you guys: What were your bests and worsts this week?

Hello MMers!! Happy Friday!
So - my Best? Won tickets from a radio station and took my 14 year old cherub to Beyonce last night. I really love hanging with my girls - took her to One Direction which was her first concert a few weeks ago. She is having such a huge year with 'big life things', and I'm enjoying watching her grow. Especially proud that she topped her class in Science. Ooh! More bests! My baby cherub brought home her NAPLAN results and I'm so pleasantly surprised! She actually got the highest possible score for Grammar and Punctuation - eclipsing the state average and her school average. All her marks were above or on the state average so I'm so proud of her that she is doing so very well.
Geez - at the risk of being a total Bests hog - I also started at the gym this week. Had my first PT session today and he smashed me but I feel fantastic for it.
My Worsts? Well I guess its just a little uncertainty atm. I quit my job last week because in addition to my boss being difficult to work for at the best of times, we are just about to go through a merger and she had ramped up the tanty's big time. As my role isn't a sales role she referred to it in a Branch meeting as
'a burden' and 'a luxury'. I was SO pissed off. I've worked long hours for her, put my youngest into before school care at my expense to do more hours to help her out and to be honest - I couldn't see it getting any better. i was the only remaining staff member to stay with her this year - everyone else has resigned citing her as the problem. Ah well - I enjoyed the work and the client contact, but it just wasn't worth walking on egg shells. That said - I got a new design client phonecall today :)
I'm posting again. Just wanted to update everyone. I didn't get the job I was asking for because it was for employment law and there was another candidate that was doing HR and law and another one that had more experience in employment law. At least that makes me feel a little bit better.
Job interviews are always great experience. Don't let missing out get you down.
Ah, sorry to hear that BWH. Better luck next time.
Oh no :( Sorry BH, I'm a big believer in fate so it obviously wasn't meant to be. There will be bigger and better and greater jobs out there for you :)
Thanks gertie89! I really appreciate the support x
