You guys know the deal, but if not here’s a bit of a refresher: Each week, we pick the biggest Shocker, Hero and Whinger from the last seven days. Shocker is whatever moment or person left our jaws on the floor. Hero is whoever won the week by being flat out amazing. And whinger? Well, that’s pretty much just someone who has had a major sooky-la-la moment.

I love ferrets more than anyone could know. They are just so wonderful. But they are also such delicate and fragile creatures. The fact that this owner laughed when this little one fell on a hard floor is really sad. My ferret broke his hip falling from a similar height (accidentally) and continued on like nothing happened initially. It was only after a little bit that qe noticed something was wrong. So laughing at this is just sad.
With ferrets they will jump because they have limited depth perception. It is the job of ferret 'owners' to prevent things like this occurring. If I ever saw my ferrets about to leap I would put them on the floor. I know most responsible people would.
