The video of an apparent terrorist attack on the London Underground has caused a stir on social media.
Footage of a man armed with a knife attacking passers-by at a Leytonstone tube station in East London is being widely shared because of the words of one witness to the attack.
The video was uploaded to Twitter following the attack and quickly inspired the hashtag #YouAintNoMuslimBruv, which is now trending.
It shows police subduing the attacker, who reportedly shouted “this is for Syria”, with tasers and as he is lying on the ground, a man with a London accent can be heard clearly shouting “you ain’t no Muslim bruv” at the alleged terrorist.
The response is being touted as the “most London response” to a terror attack possible.
The hashtag has been used around the world to support Muslims caught up in the tide of anti-Muslim sentiment that follows from terrorist incidents.
Social media users have been quick to point out that they see no link between the actions of terrorists and the broader Muslim faith, and like previous online movements, the sentiment spread quickly with over 100,000 tweets in less than a day.
One man was seriously injured in the attack, which police are treating as a terrorist incident.

How lovely for them. When it's a psychotic claiming to be a Christian, it's usually followed with "typical hypocritical Christians", "there's so much violence/evil in the Bible", "Christians should apologise for this act of terrorism". All of these above comments have been said on this website. There is never any social media hashtags or online support for Christians when something is done in their name. Perhaps it's time to be fair across the board - we should be able to seperate the actions of terrorists from ALL faiths.
What is stopping you then? If you seriously believe that Christians are so hard done by, why aren't you coming up with a social media movement?
Apart from the planned parenthood attacks (which only some commentators were calling terrorism or christian terrorism - and doing so in light of the way muslim terrorism is being reported) I Cannot for the life of me remember the last time I saw a well known publication refer to Christian terrorism. At most, Christians cop a lot of unfair stereotypes, but so do a lot of groups of people, and whilst not nice, it's hardly equal to the discrimination faced by Muslims at the moment. In Australia, Christianity is definitely in a position of privilege and power - Christians aren't exposed to hate speech or violence to the degree that Muslim people are.

AJ I think you missed the point when people were calling the man at the Family Planning Centre a Christian terrorist. If that man had been a Muslim he would have been referred to as a terrorist even if he didn't proclaim he was acting on behalf of ISIS or anything else to do with the Muslim faith.
Most, if not all, of the recent terrorist attacks by Muslims have included them making some Islamic reference or swearing their allegiance to ISIS, so I think that's a pretty clear indication that they are a Muslim terrorist, if however they screamed out that they were doing this on behalf of the IRA we would call them an IRA terrorist. If someone identifies themselves as a Muslim terrorist then I would tend to believe them.
