1. Search for William
Detectives are investigating known sex offenders in the area where three-year old William Tyrell went missing on the NSW mid-north coast.
The little boy was last seen playing in his grandparent’s front yard at 10.30m on Friday in Kendall.
News Limited reports police dogs have so far failed to pick up any scent trails to suggest William wandered off into the bushland at the end of the quiet cul-de-sac.
Superintendent Paul Fehon told media that police were “not even considering” scaling back their efforts as they went into day five of searching.
He said that the family was struggling to cope.
“It’s fair to say their grief is consuming them at times.’’
The search will continue today, with over 300 people looking for the little boy.
William has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, with dark hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information is urged to contact Triple Zero.
2. Islamic State must be defeated quickly
World leaders have met in Paris and have pledged to help Iraq fight Islamic State (IS) militants “by all means necessary”.
A joint statement issued said the support would include “appropriate military assistance”.
Iraqi President Fuad Masum, who co-hosted the conference with French President Francois Hollande, said the international community must pursue the jihadists “quickly”.

This is the only sensible thing Jacqueline Lambie has ever said.
Actually, it's an incredibly offensive and intolerant thing to say, and goes against people's right to practice their own religion.
The interpretation and application of Sharia law varies between Islamic sects. Absolutely their are some extremists who twist Sharia law for their own f***ed up purposes - but that can be said of any religion.
It's like responding to the atrocities of the Catholic Church and its' members in relation to systematic child abuse by saying "all Catholics need to just get out!". Stupid, ignorant and offensive. And a blatant appeal to ignorant racists.
It's a bit silly because Sharia law encompasses many things such the way you clean yourself. What she probably meant was she didn't want the criminal code. I have never herd of anyone wanting to introduce Sharia criminal code. So it is interesting that she has brought this up. But as for Sharia, the term is so broad that it varies from daily life to the criminal punishment measures. To me she just seems uneducated. P.S I am Muslim so I understand Sharia law to a greater extent and I am not pushing for Sharia punishment in this country.
Crap.
Our country, our law. Feel free to practice whatever religion you like, but coming here and wanting to change our way of life with oppressive laws based on religion are simply not acceptable.
There's a world of difference between freedom to practice religion and introducing a code of law particular with any one religion.
