David Cameron’s Conservatives are on track to claim victory over Labour as the results of the UK general election continue to flow in.

The Conservative Prime Minister looks set to remain at Downing Street in his second five-year term as Prime Minister with an expected narrow majority.

Around 48 million British voters cast their votes on Thursday in what was expected to be a tight election, with Mr Cameron and Leader of the Opposition Ed Miliband neck and neck in opinion polls in recent months.

Speculation Mr Miliband and Liberal Democrats leader Nick Clegg will resign is rife after both parties suffered huge losses.

 The Scottish National Party’s Mhairi Black, 20, ousted the Shadow Foreign Secretary Douglas Alexander and became the youngest Westminster MP in 300 years.
