In news that will make you want to lock all of your doors and windows, a stalker has broken into a teenage girl’s bedroom and stayed under her bed all night.
The teenage girl, from Chester, England, received a series of text messages while she was lying in bed, including one that said “I’m watching you” and another in which the man – 18-year-old Kyle Ravenscroft – threatened to hang himself outside her house.
But it wasn’t until she woke up the next morning and noticed that her shoes had been rearranged that she thought something was awry. And then she looked under her bed, found Ravenscroft, and it became apparent he had been DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH HER THE ENTIRE TIME.
Ravenscroft was subsequently arrested and charged. Via the Chester Chronicle:
Ordering Ravenscroft to pay court costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £80 and to partake in a ‘building better relationships’ course, presiding magistrate Moria Chapman said: “This is a serious offence, it is really frightening for someone to go into their room and find someone under their bed.”
No shit.
We’re all going to go out and buy futons now.
Good bye.

Just 85 quid fine? That's a bit lenient on someone who could have, or still could do something pretty more severe than hiding under a bed!
That scene from Luther! Aaahhh
