Police released CCTV images yesterday of Mr Bailey after his mother 59-year-old Penny Bailey disappeared.

Mrs Bailey was reported missing on Tuesday night after her daughters forced entry into the townhouse after unsuccessful attempts were made to contact her.

They reported a “disturbance” and “signs of a struggle” in the home.

Det Insp Mick Hughes said yesterday “There is concern from what we witnessed at that scene.”

Yesterday the Mont Albert home was searched – and a black four-wheel drive Volkswagen Tiguan was taken away for forensic examination. Forensic experts also removed garbage bins at the front of the property.

The mother-of-three was last seen on Sunday night after having dinner with one of her daughters.

At a press conference, Mr Bailey’s siblings Belinda and Shannon pleaded with Stephen to contact either them or police.

“Please come forward, we’ve been trying to reach you. In whatever way you can, please come forward. And we love you, and just want to hear from you,” his sister Belinda said.

She then addressed her mother “Mum, I love you, I miss you, and I’m worried about you. If there’s anything you can do to get in touch, please do. I love you. We love you.”

Stephen Bailey spotted on CCTV.

Detective  Hughes said the family was distressed.

“This is a very large and close family, and we’re putting all the support around them we can,” he said.

Mrs Bailey is still missing.
