An unmanned Russian spacecraft is reportedly out of control and plunging towards Earth after contact with it was lost.
The Guardian reports that attempts to contact the unmanned cargo spacecraft ferrying supplies to the International Space Station have been unsuccessful.
“It has started descending. It has nowhere else to go,” an official, who requested to remain anonymous, said.
“It is clear that absolutely uncontrollable reactions have begun.”

Controllers chose to change the flight plan of the vessel, which launched on Tuesday, to extend its journey from six hours to two days in an attempt to fix the glitch.
The ship was scheduled to dock with the space station, where the crew of six people is awaiting the supplies, on 30 April.
