Well this is certainly unique.
This week, a phone call from a frantic snorkeler prompted authorities to dive to the bottom of the Colorado River, searching for human remains in the murky water.
What they discovered was not quite human remains — but it was certainly horrifying.
“When firefighter Foerstner located the alleged remains, he found it to be an underwater tea party with two fake skeletons sitting in lawn chairs,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement.
Yes. He found an underwater tea party.
The entire eerie scene was captured on camera by the diver, a member of the fire department.
While police are unsure of how these fake skeletons made there way to the bottom of the Colorado River, the sheriff’s office and fire department did say they were happy the remains weren’t real.
