Convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby has reportedly threatened to take her own life.
According to the UK press:
“Sydney’s Channel Ten network said at the end of its evening news bulletin that two officials had gone to the house where she was staying and she had grabbed a knife, threatening to kill herself. She allegedly told them she was fed up with being harassed by everyone, including the media.”
According to The Project, the head of the corrections division of the Bali justice office Sunar Agus said that when he entered the premises at around 9pm on Monday night, Corby seemed “mentally unstable” and afraid to have a conversation with him.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Mr Agus described the incident as follows:
“I can’t tell someone’s intention, but what I saw in front of me was that she tried to commit suicide. She took a knife, but the family stopped her and the parole officer stopped her.”
Ten Eyewitness News presented Hugh Rimington tweeted:

Hugh, maybe if you and your journo buddies stopped following her around every second exploiting her for the sake of your own careers, she might get her act together and make something of the rest of her life. But you wouldn't want that, now, would you?
throw back in prison so we can all move on from this...
