Oscar de la Renta had died aged 82 years old, according to reports from ABC News in the US and other media.
The iconic fashion designer — who has dressed everyone from First Ladies Clinton and Reagan to songstress Taylor Swift and, most recently, international barrister Amal Clooney — was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.
De la Renta was born in the Dominican Republic; he became internationally known in the 1960s as one of Jackie Kennedy’s favourite designers, as TMZ reports.
He also had a homewares line and his own fragrance.

I just loved that he made women look like beautiful WOMEN. He loved the curves and the femininity. So many designers seem to want to iron us flat, he made women look wonderful. He will be missed.
