1. Three killed in Trainwreck cinema shooting.
Three people have been killed when a gunman opened fire on a theatre in the United States.
The Lafayette shooting occurred during a showing of Amy Schumer‘s new comedy, Trainwreck.
The gunman, whose identity is yet to be revealed, was among the three people killed during the frightening incident. A further seven people were injured.
According to The New York Times, police chief Jim Craft said the extent of injuries “range from non life-threatening to critical.”
Police say the gunman used a handgun, but are yet to determine his motive.
2. Coroner reveals the cause of death for Nick Cave’s son.
The coroner’s office has revealed that Nick Cave’s son died from ‘multiple injuries’, an inquest heard today.
The Guardian reports the inquest into 15-year-old Arthur Cave’s death opened in Brighton in the United Kingdom today.
Arthur, who has a twin brother, was pronounced dead on July 14, after falling off a cliff.
The death was ruled to be caused by “multiple traumatic injuries due to a fall from a height.”

Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
3. A teenage girl has died after accidentally overdosing on paracetamol.
A 17-year-old girl from Britain has passed away after taking three times the recommended dose of paracetamol.
Georgia Littlewood told doctors she took the pain killers to treat a stomach ache.
