Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has appealed to her Twitter followers for help tracking down a lost earring.
Ms Bishop appeared on Sky News this morning wearing only one pearl earring.
She sent a tweet shortly after the interview, during which she discussed the Government’s consultation with Indonesia over the fate of two Australians on death row in the country.
Ms Bishop said she lost the earring in Sydney’s Martin Place today.
The tweet included a phone number to contact in the event that the earring was found.
Since Julie’s tweet, a spoof account known as JBish Ear Ring has begun tweeting fictitious accounts of life as the missing earring. Here are some of the more hilarious tweets so far:

As a strong supporter of the Abbott Government's "end of entitlement" philosophy, I'm concerned Ms Bishop is sending a mixed message by expecting the plebs to have a social conscience and return her lost property.
What's the appropriate co-payment for finding and returning an earring to someone with the capacity to pay?
