Tragic news.
The man who inspired the Oscar-winning film A Beautiful Mind has died in a car accident.
John Nash, 86, and his wife Alicia, 82, were both killed in the accident which occured in the US state of New Jersey.
Nash is a Nobel Prize winning mathematician, whose battle with schizophrenia inspired the 2001 movie, A Beautiful Mind.
Nash and his wife were travelling on the New Jersey highway when the taxi they were in crashed.
Police believe the pair were thrown from the vehicle after it hit a guard rail.
Russell Crowe, who played Nash in A Beautiful Mind, and director, Ron Howard, have tweeted their sympathies to the family.

Nash was awarded a Nobel Prize in 1994, for his work on game theory and the mathematics of decision making.
He first married Alicia in 1957, but the pair divorced in 1962. They remained in contact and remarried in 2001, after John’s schizophrenia eased.
