High. Five. Carrie. Bickmore.
This is what happens when you decide to go for an insulting, sexist dig and the woman on the receiving end calls you on it.
In an interview with old rocker Johnny Rotten last night on Channel 10’s The Project, Carrie Bickmore tried to ask the British performer about the passing of Margaret Thatcher.
Rotten thought Carrie was trying to speak over the top of him and said: “Hey missus! Whoever you are, you need to be quiet, your voice is too loud for me.”
You see, when you’re doing an interview from another location, you can’t actually see the face of the person who is talking – so Rotten would have been just looking straight into a camera.
Bickmore, ever the calm presenter, apologised and tried to ask her question again.
But then Rotten interrupted her, saying: “Now listen, when a man is talking, do not interrupt.”
And Carrie? Just WATCH…
(The argy bargy happens around the 4.10 mark).

Rotten on the Project wasn't being sexist at all...if the womenfolk want to be offended by him, listen to a song called Bodies when he was still with the Sex Pistols...that'll raise the hackles
And what of the irony of Johnny Rotten lecturing anyone about having respect and manners?
My thoughts exactly!
