Drum roll please…
Guy Sebastian has unveiled the song he will be performing at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Australia’s first ever delegate will showcase his signature soulful sound when he performs the new R&B track ‘Tonight Again.”
Here’s a sneak preview from SBS (post continues after video):
The song was written and produced specifically for the contest where Australia has won a wild card entry in celebration of the competition’s 60th anniversary.
The song was revealed by SBS this evening with the company’s Managing Director saying he was delighted with the choice.
“To have an Australian competing on the Eurovision stage has been an ambition of ours for the past four years,” he said. “Guy and his team have delivered such a powerful song for the occasion and I know that Tonight Again will perfectly showcase Guy’s vocal talent and have a real impact in the competition this year.”
Guy Sebastian said he had said out to write something fun when he went into the studio, “when it came time to decide on a song, I thought since I had a couple of days off in Australia I would try and write something new. But if I was to record a new song I wanted it to be home-grown and organic with my band in my studio.
“We all have moments you don’t want to end and you wish you could live those moments every day so I wanted to write a song about that feeling. I am sure that is how I am going to feel when I am in Vienna performing.”
How do you think he went?

There is an extreme lack of sequins, and there sure as hell won't be any sexy butter churning milkmaids with his entry... we may be in with a chance if he brings back the fro, and covers it in rhinestones, and dances with an interpretive dance troupe on top of a hydraulic lift volcano.
I saw it every year... but this year I AM going to have a Eurovision party!
