In February, 18-year-old Holli Jeffcoat was murdered in an attack so brutal, it made headlines across the world.
The teenager’s throat was savagely slashed, her uterus removed and her body left to burn along with her family home.
Tragically, police believe Holli was also pregnant at the time, allegedly to her own step-father.
The murder of the mentally disabled teen continues to trouble the community of Lubbock, Texas, as police are still yet to lay any charges over her death.
However, with the recent arrests of Holli’s mother and step-father on sexual assault charges have painted a picture of Holli’s troubled childhood, of a life plagued by pain and fear.

As James Holland sat behind bars charged with the sexual assault of Holli's sibling, his wife was hauled into custody for failing to stop his alleged abuse or to report it to police.
According to local news outlet the Lubbock-Avalanche Journal, court documents relating to Debi Holland's arrest have now detailed a history of sustained sexual abuse against Holli, stretching back to 2008.
It was then, when she was just 10-years-old, that a routine blood-test following a car accident revealed that she had contracted a sexually transmitted infection. Police were unable to determine who had committed the crime, and no charges were laid.

"ordered to leave the home, and told not to make contact with Holli or her sibling" ?
Seriously? That's basically saying to a child rapist: "please don't".
