There’s an inevitability to same-sex marriage that is obvious to pretty much any Australian who isn’t Cory Bernardi (well, around 70 per cent of us at last count).
There is no sound reason why, in 2016, any Australian should be discriminated against because of who they happen to fall in love with.
Zip. Zilch. Nada. Zero. None.
A plebiscite on the issue will cost tax-payer’s a whopping $160 million and a ‘yes’ vote will not necessarily ensure marriage equality.
Regardless of the cost, a plebiscite won’t happen until after the next election. That’s too long for us to wait, sorry.
We think “it’s time” and we are not alone.

It's not marriage equality (not all marriage options are being equally allowed) - it's the redefiinition of marriage to include homosexual couples. Please be honest.
It's 2016. It's time for freedom of choice. To marry or not to marry at all.
I would like to tell you something: yesterday at one of Australian beach I happened to came accross on 2 of 70+ ladies of a south European background. I am on my short way to 70, never married, no children, no boyfriend, stright only, educated, decent, independent and free in every sense. My choice. One of the ladies could not hide her curiosity:
-"Are you married?"
-No.
-"No?
- Are you divorced?"
-No.
-"No? Do you have children?"
-No.
-"No? Have you boyfriend?"
-No.
-"No? Are you a virgin?"
-No.
-"No? ....Oh, well."
So, I am here to say I am for freedom of choice.
