How much did you hate your rash-shirt when you were a kid?
Mine was yellow and pink, with long sleeves, more zips than Ed Hardy denim, and was basically a turtleneck for the beach. I was like a tiny, neon Steve Jobs with smears of zinc on my bum.
But let me tell you, the ugly rashie of your childhood has just been given the makeover it never wanted, because this season we introduce – THE CHRISTMAS UGLY RASHIE.
For years we have sat sullenly here is sunny old Australia, dripping with sweat and jealousy as our friends and family across the seas enjoyed not only a white Christmas, but the spoils of ugly Christmas jumpers.
Their cable-knit goodness would boast smiling images of reindeers, Santa, and falling snow. Meanwhile, down under, we were trapped somewhere between being a) unwilling and b) unable to wear clothing, thanks to soaring festive season temps.
Well, the joy of a traditional white Christmas has found its way to our sandy shores in the form of a rashie, that looks like a jumper.
A rashie.
That looks like a jumper.
IS THERE ANYTHING WE AUSSIES CAN’T DO?
Thanks to the evil geniuses at Kozii Swimwear, our beaches will now be confusing tourists all summer long with a sea of knitted surfwear riding the waves. Is it Bondi? Is it London? MADNESS!
Behind their wicked plan is a heart of gold – proceeds from the Ugly Christmas Rashie are going towards the Cancer Council QLD. And with two in three Australians diagnosed with skin cancer before the age of 70, we reckon covering up with this kitsch rashie is a bloody good idea.
If you feel like this jazzy little number needs to be your latest addition for summer, get online and shop them here.
Ho, ho, ho, shoppers!
Editor’s Note: No, this post is not sponsored. We just love a rashie, Christmas and supporting a good cause.

I would rather spend my money on a more worthy cause.
I guess you've never known a friend's husband to die of skin cancer at 35 leaving behind 5 kids under 12. I think the Cancer Council is more than worthy.
sold out. such a shame! no doubt they'll order x10 stock for next year!
