One in six men find their mother-in-law more attractive than their wife.

Women, look out. Your partner might be in love with your mum.

Well, that might be a bit of a stretch. But a poll of 1500 men in the UK found that men have much fonder views of their mother-in-law than the stereotype tells us.

According to the Daily Mail, “half of married men have revealed they find their mother-in-law attractive – and a quarter have a genuine crush on her, according to a study”.

And the scary part: 1 in 6 men admitted that found their partner’s mum MORE attractive than their spouse. 31% secretly believe that the mum is secretly attracted to them, and 18% think she has secretly hit on him in the past. SECRETS.

Hmmmm.

We’re all on board for men getting along with their wife’s mum. In fact, 80 per cent of the men polled believed they had a great relationship with their mother-in-law, and two thirds agreed they would be happy if their wife aged to look like her mother.

One quarter of men will flirt with their mother-in-law (although one third of men admitted they would happily annoy their partner by complimenting the mother’s attractiveness to her daughter).

Fifty percent of the men believed the mother’s fashion sense had heavily influenced their spouses, and one-eighth even said they thought the mum was more stylish.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Silver lining: At least we know that attractiveness is not limited by age, and they definitely ‘still got it’. But, Mums… please don’t hit on your daughter’s husband, even if he is flirting with you.
