You’ve earned these stripes – it’s time to show them off.
A new movement has started online and it’s encouraging women to celebrate their stretch marks.
The #LoveYourLines hash tag is accompanying thousand of photos of women who are showing off these marks, “battle scars”, “tiger stripes” and “love lines”.
Some have earned theirs giving birth, some due to health overhauls, some through puberty and others just from their journey through life.
The movement begane when model Chrissy Teigen shared an instragram pic of her stretch marks.
The picture was accompanied with the caption, “Bruises from bumping the kitchen drawer handles for a week. Stretchies say hi!”

The hope of the movement is to see women collectively feel better about their bodies and the marks that are a woman’s companion through her life. Not a sign that she’s broken – but that she’s done great things or led a full and varied life.
Take a look at some of the beautiful images shared so far.

Whether some people feel this is over the top or not, it is very good to see more movement towards acceptance of bodies in their normal state. I actually kind of like them anyway.
Next up: Beautiful- I love my piles. I pushed my son/daughter out ever so gloriously. With all the pain and trauma I have proud battle blobs sitting out my ass like a parting adios to my bundle of joy. I may not have the perfect poop hole suctioned in perfect cushion button like precision but gosh darn these globes of glory are BEAUTIFUL
