Gone are the days where announcing your engagement was as easy as updating your relationship status on Facebook.
If you really want to stand out from the hoards of smiling couple pics and glimmering rings shots littering your feed, it’s time to bring in the big guns. Which is surely what was going through Brady Hogevoll and Stevie Beard’s heads when the newly-engaged couple enlisted photographer Joshua Rainey to take this shot.
How many shots did it take for them to get the perfect one? Did Brady start to pass out with all the blood rushing to his head? At ANY moment did either party think that maybe this is a little weird and we should just give it a miss?
The couple’s photographer told Buzzfeed that the photo was taken on Hogevoll’s parents’ property.
“They have over 150 acres along the Siletz River [in Oregon],” he said.

“The whole family is very into elk hunting. It was rather tough to get the shot, though, since Brady could only be upside down for a few minutes. Brady tied his own knots and got himself hooked up to the tractor and then his dad lifted him up slowly.”
Nice one, Brady.

For reasons we’re all quite aware of, the image has now been shared tens of thousands of times. And amazingly, they’re not the only ones who are jumping on the, er, unusual choice of engagement announcement.
Analyn Grace Nicole posted this love-filled snap on her Instagram profile with the caption:
“Only 109 days until I marry the man of my dreams! I couldn’t be more thankful and blessed!”
