NSW Cabinet reshuffle: Premier Gladys Berejiklian makes major changes to front bench.

New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has unveiled her new-look frontbench in a media conference at Queanbeyan, in Deputy Premier John Barilaro’s seat of Monaro.

Adrian Piccoli and Duncan Gay have been dropped as the education and roads ministers, while Brad Hazzard will take over the health portfolio.

Several new faces have been promoted, with Nationals MP Melinda Pavey taking on the roads portfolio.

Right-wing powerbroker Anthony Roberts has been given the planning portfolio, which will be crucial to the Premier’s plans to make housing affordability a top priority.

Hornsby Liberal MP Matt Kean and former Upper House president Don Harwin were also rewarded with frontbench positions.

The Premier’s decision to make the announcement in Queanbeyan was aimed at mending bridges with the Nationals.

More to come.
