Look, it’s 2016 and it seems the Internet will pay for anything, if you ask them nicely enough.
Remember that guy who managed to convince the world to give him upwards of $55,000 to make a bowl of potato salad? Case in point.
So can you really blame Reyna, poor, sweet, teenaged Reyna, for thinking the Internet might just be kind enough to help her out with her own crowd-funding campaign?
After all, the high-schooler only needed $3500 to buy her first car.
Reyna, also known as ‘brattyreyna’ on Instagram, created a GoFundMe account (sadly, now removed) to help her raise the money for the new machine.
Guys, she was even going to donate 10% to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. See?
Alas, the people weren’t convinced, obviously unaware that taking a road trip in your very own poo-brown Corolla is a rite of passage into adulthood.
One meanie even suggested she get something called ‘a job’:
“There’s placed that will donate money to you but you have to go in and do some work for some hours,” Instagram user ‘ian_bradshaw’ commented on the post.
“You get paid every week or two depends on the place but you can make like 400 or more every two weeks.”
Interest piqued, Reyna enquired: “What’s the place?”
“It depends on the area but you can just search Google for ‘places hiring near me’ and get a job,” he replied.
Ouch.
Don’t stop believin’, Reyna.

Well, her Instagram name seems well chosen.
Isn't it great. They say that it takes a "village" to raise a child and little Reyna just got more then she bargained for, she asked for a car and instead got a "reality check", good work everyone.
